Bright medium red-ruby. Tighter on the nose than the Fornace bottling but less so than the Casanovina Montosoli, hinting at red fruits and flowers. Then surprisingly smooth and suave in the mouth, with great class and gorgeous purity to the dark and red berry, herb and bitter chocolate flavors. Penetrating minerality contributes to the impression of precision and verve on the long, multilayered and smooth finish.
2015 Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino Casanovina Montosoli
Vibrant red with a garnet rim. Floral nuances complement red cherry, cardamom and minerals on the elegant deep youthfully brooding nose. Then rich, dense and suave, with outstanding depth to the steely red fruit, bay leaf and mineral flavors present. Still relatively clenched down and youthful in the mouth too, but lingers long and pure with very precise Sangiovese flavors of tobacco, blood orange and licorice on the juicy finish.Fonte: Ian D'Agata - Vinous
