The Burgundy Briefing
En Primeur Tasting
Notes 2017 White
*Bourgogne Blanc
Attractive fruits and nice tension and minerality for Bourgogne.
Precise. A real feeling of Puligny here aged in 700l barrels.
Puligny-Montrachet
30% les Meix. 30% Corvées de Vignes and 1/3 a blend of other parcels.
This is very fresh and pure with good tension and minerality. A straight palate with some nice depth. I like this quite edgy Puligny.

*Batard-Montrachet
350l barrels and not new. Hurrah. Ripe floral aroma. It is supple and seductive. Not rich, but it has volume. Such an elegant Batard. After the full airy palate, it is cold and so tight with smooth minerality power and intensity on the finish. I do like this Batard.
Clearly this is from the top part of Batard.
